Children (under18) may be seen on the NHS by referral from their dentist. NHS treatment is available for referred patients under 18 years, but to qualify for funding the child’s orthodontic condition must match certain criteria set by NHS England.

Dr Chauhan graduated in Dentistry from Kings College, University of London in 1991. She completed her specialist orthodontic training in 1998 with a Master’s & Membership in Orthodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons (England).

Dr Chauhan is Principal of Smile101 Specialist Orthodontic Centre in Windsor, Berkshire and Guildford, Surrey. She has extensive experience treating adults and children in NHS and private practice.

Dr Chauhan is a platinum Invisalign provider, certified Lingual orthodontist and an experienced in Damon self-ligating braces. She is committed to clinical excellence and continuing education and is passionate about creating beautiful healthy smiles!

I’m just about to finish an eighteen month journey with Smile101 and am getting my braces off today !! It’s been great from start to finish and my teeth are now pretty perfect. I started with an expander then had full train track braces. The surgery is nice and they also are open on Saturday which means I don’t miss school !

Both my son and daughter have Invisalign braces from Smile 101 and I have nothing but praise for the practise and the treatment plan. So glad that I chose Smile 101 for my teeth correction. They have been simply awesome. From 1st engagement, recommending options (went with Invisalign) through to regular checkups. Their after care is also exceptional. Such perfectionists too. Whereas I was happy with my 'new' teeth after 18 months, they werent. It didn't hold up to the high standards they set. As a very young patient, they have been very gentle and thoughtful with her in the clinic and offered us fantastic advice. I was wearing Damon Fixed Braces for over 23 months. My teeth were really bad and were all over the place until I met the most amazing team and Smile 101. They worked super hard for making sure my teeth were perfect and they took the time to make sure I was fine when I had either a loose wire or something didn't feel right about my braces. I am now using the retainers at the moment but if you are looking for a top-notch group orthodontists I highly recommend Smile 101!

Having had braces as a teenager, I was very tentative about going back into orthodontic treatment at the age of 50. I needed to sort out my wonky bite, which had got worse over the past few years, and take advantage of the opportunity to improve the aesthetics. Smile 101 team were great. Sheila treated me as a fellow professional, straight talking and understanding. My treatment was not straightforward due to a strong underbite, but I felt like a partner in my treatment, rather than a 'patient' and given that I started my treatment in March 2020, as Covid kicked in, the Windsor team were incredibly agile and supportive. I've just finished 18months of Invisalign and am very happy with the process and the outcome. Well done Sheila and team, thank you.

I visited a few different orthodontists before visiting Sheila at Smile 101 and I’m so so glad I opted to use Smile 101. I’ve had a really great experience with the team at Smile101 and would (and have!) recommend to anyone looking to fix their smile. From the outset, Sheila was super positive with what she could do and her team who I have seen have been so welcoming and really know what they’re doing. I started my treatment with Smile 101 in 2014. In 2010 I had a traumatic injury to my front teeth. This event ruined my smile and since then I felt always uncomfortable. Dr Sheila changed my life, she immediately found a solution for me, being always caring and so optimistic. The impact on my teeth was quite severe and for this reason Sheila suggested Invisalign. I followed her advice and to be honest I was quite happy, because I didn't want to wear braces again as I did few years ago. I just wanted something invisible and enough to fix my problem. Looking at my teeth the way they are now is just unbelievable, and I couldn't be much happier. In the middle of my treatment I moved to London and going to my regular appointments was quite difficult. The team at Smile 101 was always very helpful and flexible facilitating my treatment. No complaints, my brace never caused me any discomfort other than the generic tightness and the treatment afterwards with my retainer was all successful. I always had confidence in the orthodontist and was given realistic feedback and information which made the experience very easy. Everyone involved was always very friendly and booking appointments was never an issue. I also felt I didn't have any more appointments than were necessary which was good for me because travelling from Reading wasn't something I wanted to do too often. Would recommend lots, especially because I didn't like what they orthodontists in Reading planned for my teeth so was very willing to travel to Windsor for the superior treatment. :)

Went for a free consultation last summer with Sheila and signed up for invisalign treatment with interest free payment plan. 1 year later and my once wonky teeth are almost perfect, and i’ve just boked my scan for the final aligners. I cannot recommend smile 101 highly enough. All the people there are Friendly, attentive and professional… and my only regret is not going to them sooner!

Being a former "frightened of dentists" patient, I cannot recommend Smile 101 enough. Their friendliness and support by all staff throughout my treatment has been amazing and has eased the majority of my worries. For such a long time I was told that there was nothing that could be done and finding someone who was willing to help me was a massive relief - I am overjoyed with the end results and simply cannot stop smiling. I have just successfully finished my Invisalign treatment and I strongly recommend this centre, particularly for those leaving in the area. There is the possibility to book appointments at flexible times what makes the treatment easier to follow. The staff is very supportive and friendly, and Sheila is very strong at what she does so you wilI get the best advise and feel that you can trust her. I have come a long way and I don't regret the choice despite a very challenging start and complications during the treatment (including adapting the steps around a wedding!). Great place to look after your teeth beauty and health!

I second the review on here regarding the owner being patronising as this was also our experience. I made an appointment for my daughter to visit Smile 101 and was very clear at the time of making this appointment that we were a transfer patient from abroad and before our first visit I emailed all transfer paperwork and photos. It was acknowledge that we were being taken on as a transfer patient and the first appointment made. We attended the Guildford branch where photos were taken and instructions provided by the head Orthodontist to her colleague on how to continue my daughters treatment. Work was undertaken and advice on how to wear bands were provided. (In actual fact the wire that was inserted from our previous Orthodontist was reinserted but with fresh ligature bands) An appointment for a months time also made. Our second appointment was at the Windsor branch and when we attended it was as though we had never been before. This business operates with two computer systems so my daughters previous photos and notes were all held at the Guildford Branch and had not been prepared for our visit at the Windsor Branch. The Orthodontist present also felt the need to inform me that she was the owner and moving house??? I was asked what I wanted to achieve with my daughters braces which felt like a trick question "straight teeth?" It was at this stage the Owner/Orthodontist informed me that she actually wanted to remove my daughters braces, it was believed her teeth were straight enough and that ultimately it would end Smile 101's liabilities from taking on a transfer patient. I asked if my daughters teeth needed more work. "Possibly" was the response. Could another Orthodontist achieve this work "Maybe" was the response. Two paid for appointments, no actual treatment undertaken except for new bracket bands and being told that it was best to end Smile 101's liabilities. If only I was told this during my initial call and not at the second paid appointment where I was spoken down to and at in a very patronising manner. Thankfully we left without removing the braces and went to Cygnet in Staines. Here we found an Orthodontist who were clear and informative with what they could achieve and in a very timely manner. After Eighteen weeks and 3 appointments my daughter received the correct treatment. So thankful to Cygnet.

I went in for a free consultation with Sheila, although I didn't expect much I ended up walking away feeling quite let down. It was quite honestly one of the most patrnosing people I have had the chance to converse with. I was continuously talked down to and every reply I got was greeted with a smirk from Sheila as if nothing but nonsense was coming out of my mouth. Granted all practitioners are experts in their field but to make a patient feel like they are being judged or as if they know nothing is really not the trait of someone who delivers great customer service. I wanted to walk out almost immediately but due to my nature I let her talk and did my best to not say anything hostile or out of anger and instead walked out feeling very annoyed. I had a friend who visited them before and I brought up Sheila's tone and they laughed and said they had been to see her previously and felt the exact same thing. Terrible service even if it was a free consultation so I would avoid.
